[Android] Document Search

Posted in Android Updated on .
Written by Tomáš Šurín

In PDF Viewer, you can search for file names as well as the document content across all your folders, or even just the current directory, as required.

1. You can access the document search by tapping the magnifier icon in the action bar in PDF Viewer's file browser. Search is performed on text stored in the PDF as well as in annotations.

Note that not all PDF documents contain searchable text. Often, scanned documents only show the image of text, which is not searchable.

2. Start the search by entering a search term. The search will automatically begin after entering a character.

3. Navigate to search results by tapping them in the results list.

Search In Current Folder

To search in the current folder, make sure to enable the toggle under the search query input field.

Search All Folders

To search in all folders, disable the toggle under the search query input field.
