How to create a stackshot:
- Reproduce the issue, freeze, unresponsiveness or wait until it happens again
- Press the Home button and one of the volume buttons at the same time. This will create the stackshot file. Note: Do this multiple times to create a series of stackshots.
If you have a computer to sync your device to:
- Sync your device with iTunes on your computer.
- Head to ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/[Your_Device_Name] on a Mac or C:\Users\[Your_User_Name]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\[Your_Device_Name]\ on Windows. You should find one or multiple stacks-{date}.ips files.
- Tap the Feedback button on the lower right corner of this screen to share the stackshot files with us including a small explanation what you experienced.
If you don't have a computer, you can also see these files on your device directly:
- Open Settings → Privacy → Analytics → Analytics Data (on iOS 10) or Settings → Privacy → Diagnostics & Usage → Diagnostics & Usage Data (on iOS 9).
- You should find one or multiple stacks-{date}.ips entries. Open the one with the latest date.
- Select the whole text of the file. (This can be a tedious process and you need to drag the text selection handle to the edge of the screen so the text scrolls and you can select the whole text.)
- Select "Copy"
- Open PDF Viewer and go to the Feedback option in the settings.
- Copy the text in a new message and send it to us.
- Add a small explanation of what you experienced.
